How to Boost your Wix SEO by Having Your Wix Website Rated by McAfee.

Expertise Authority and Trust (E-A-T.) are significant ranking factors for Google, so having a website which is considered trustworthy and safe to visit is pretty fundamental if you want to appear on page 1 of Google.

If your have recently finished building your Wix website, it won't be familiar to online security providers such as McAfee just yet. As such, when your site shows up in the Google search engine results pages (SERPs) of McAfee users, it will probably have grey question marks beside it, just like this one, which could really affect your Wix SEO:

wix seo, seo for wix

If your site is a site related to matters affecting health or wealth (or as Google calls it a "Your Money, Your Life" site- YMYL for short) this SEO issue could really be holding back the ranking potential of your site. A very wide category of websites fall into those two categories, so whether you are a medical professional or a financial advisor, a yoga instructor or an accountant, this really is something you don't want to miss.

To find out whether your site has this problem, if you are a McAfee user, simply type 'site:' followed by the name of your site into Google, for example site:mystunningwixsite.com being sure to leave out the "www" at the start.

If your wixsite is affected by this issue, don't worry, I'll show you how to get your site considered safe by McAfee under 10 minutes so that you can look like this in Google search results instead:

How to get your Wix website approved as safe by McAfee.

Step 1: Go to the McAfee site https://sitelookup.mcafee.com/ and register with them as shown in the image below.

Step 2 (see image below): After you've registered with them, select “McAfee Site Advisor/ Web Control (Enterprise)” from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Insert your URL (website address) into the space indicated.

Step 4: Click "Check URL".

Step 5 (see image below): On the next page, choose the category of website you have from the drop-down menu, for example 'business website' or 'Travel website' etc.

Step 6: Click on "Submit URL for Review".

Step 7 On the next page, tick the box marked "send me an email when the URL switches to 'closed' status". Then, insert your email address in the space provided. McAfee will contact you here when they have reviewed your website and marked it as safe.

Step 6: Click on "Submit".

You'll now see a screen like the one below, letting you know that they'll review your site in the next 3 to 5 days. You'll even be given a ticket number, should you need to follow-up with them about it.

Well done. You'll soon get notification that your site is now considered safe by McAfee. This will help demonstrate to Google that your site is trustworthy, thereby helping your E-A-T.
